About Mangwana
Funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Maputo, Magwana is a four-year project that aims at transforming the agricultural sector in Manica and Sofala provinces in the Beira Corridor to benefit over 227,000 people and contribute to the food security and nutrition among the people in these provinces and beyond.
The project is implemented by Technoserve, Resilience BV, Zambezi Valley Development Agency, and Agência de Desenvolvimento Económico da Provincia de Manica (ADEM). The main objectives of the projects are design and develop smallholder farmer-tailored solutions that will increase adoption of sustainable and resilient land use practices, increase productivity and incomes for smallholder farmers, and ultimately increase food and nutrition security in the Beira Corridor. At the core of these solutions is a robust data strategy to ensure effective M&E and projects insights for effective decision making and allocation of resources.
